View Full Version : Happy Mothers Day

I know that it's not really a Holiday, but hopefully the Mothers out there will get a break on Sunday.
I am the kind of Mother that would like her children to call (I don't want gifts or cards), to prove they have not forgotten and then leave me alone... so I can do what I want.
On Sunday, I usually golf with my Son, God-Daughter (and her Mom) and then relax the rest of the day. (if possible)
We celebrate Mothers Day on Saturday, so that no one rushes us during our golf game. It took us a while to figure that out:rolleyes:
I think it might rain this Sunday:eek: If that's the case I might just golf by myself:cool: Although J wouldn't let me, but he would complain the whole time:)

Happy Mother's Day and yes it is a holiday JD, mothers are special.
Mother's Day was special for my mom (God rest her soul) she raised 8 of us (4 of her own and 4 step children). We all ended up with a college degree and in business. She did all this with a 6th grade education but a master's degree in love.

I'm a little 'pissy' right now... but, I would like to have a Mothers Day the way 'some' people have their 'everyday'. Doing whatever you want:D

Happy Mothers day to all the moms. :)
My kids already gave me my gifts, they couldn't wait until Sunday.
Sydney gave me a pansy plant (which we'll put outside when it's warm enough) and Jared made me tissue paper flowers and gave me 4 IOU's, one for a hug, one for a meal (mmmm, cereal ;)), one for a cleanup and one for an "I love you" (since when do I need a coupon for that?;))
Loved the gifts but love spending time with my kids even more. :)

Hi, artlady!
It's so nice to have you around here again! :) Like where you are, it's much colder, here!
Strange things are afoot concerning the weather, for sure!
So, what might you and others here be doing for Mother's Day, please?
Thanks!

HI Clough, I'm off to bed but have you looked at my thread? Let me know what you think of this guy.

I'll try to look at what's on the site to which you're posted a link on that thread, Stringer. But, please remember that I'm on a very old computer that's connected to the Internet by a phone line.
Thanks!

Yes, I forgot for a moment... I hope you can play it, it IS funny, and presented very well, I think.

Why the sad face, JD?
I'm good, just feeling sorry for myself, which I believe I am entitled since it's Mothers Day.:) (I get one day and I milk it) Tomorrow I will be back to my 'never ending working for everyone else self'.:)
I had toast for breakfast, Cheetos (golfing) for lunch and toast for dinner again. Nothing else. I refuse (on principle) to cook or clean on Mothers Day.

I will sometime. If not able to view it tonight, then definitely when I'm on a computer with a much faster connection!
