I have two framed etchings with the trademark SLZ and distributed by Turner, NY. One is number 211 and is by Pierre. It is entitled The Manor. The other one, number 212, is by Boyer and is entitled The Rivulet. The label on the back of the frame says GENUINE ETCHING. And they are both signed in pencil by the artist. Can you tell me anything about what they might be worth?

Can't tell you, not even if you post a picture of both. How would we do that, if we can't see and feel and use a magnifying glass to authenticate signature. Have them appraised by an art dealer, is your best bet.

Hi, loveparis!

Most likely, they're prints of the original etchings, especially if they have numbers like that on them. The numbers most likely indicated the order that print would be in the run of the prints that were printed. The numbers could also indicate a numbering system for an auction.

Even though they are signed by the artist and most likely are prints, that doesn't mean that they don't have some monetary value.

In the meantime, I'll do some other checking...

Thanks!
