My civic 91 got hot but I kept on driving in the red zone indicator for 10 minutes where the checkengine lamp lighted up. And the motor began to go off and on. I stopped for 2 hours and refilled the radiator and drive for about 100 miles where the car began off and on again. The car will not start, sometimes it starts but stops again, the rpm er unsteady all the time and the orange checkengine lamp is on. The car is dead for almost 2 months now. Can any one help?

In all likelihood, you are not looking at a pretty picture. Most likely, your aluminum head is warped and will have to be removed, machined, and installed with a new head gasket. I would not be surprised if there is massive valve damage. My guess is it could cost $1,500 or more to fix. Never let an aluminum head engine severely overheat--it's the "kiss of death." Stop the car and have it towed.
