I bought a craftmen lawn tractor K1000.It sat for two years.The engine turns over but won't try to start.I use etther ,it runs for a second.There is a wire connection at the bottom of the float bowel'Is this a valve?

Hi,
That is the anti-backfire solenoid on the bottom of the carb. It could be gummedup after sitting/ Likely the whole carb is.
The solenoid can be removed and cleaned with carb cleaner and manually operating the plunger.

Thanks for aswering my question.I did get it started since I ask the question.It ran pretty rough for a while.I left it warm up and then I changed the oil and added some STP gas additive.
