II brke up with my boyfriend after we bought a house together. I really don't care about the house and told him that he could have it, but I want my name off the deed. What if the best thing we can do. He will not sell the house which is fine with me I just want my name off the deed and have no legal responsibity towards the home.

If you are asking whether your action is quit correct or not? My opinion is that you should keep it yourself not him, this will give you both bigger chance to maybe repair the whole thing again one day, but if he will have it, your chance is very low if it's exist at all! So if you want him to take it and live happy with a new GF you can let him keep it. But for sure remove your name from the papers to be safe legally.

Your name on the deed doesn't affect your liability. Your name on the mortgage note does. You need to insist that he refiance it; that's really the only way you can escape liability should he fail to make the mortgage payments.
If he cannot refiance, the two of you need to sell it. Otherwise you could be left holding the bag should he default on the mortgage.

He needs to buy you out. The only way the mortgage lender will let you off the loan is if its paid off. So he needs to get a new loan just in his name. If you don't want to get any money out of it that's up to you.

You are new here so you may not be aware how things work here. This is one of the Law forums. Answers here need to deal with and conform to statutory law. This is not a relationship forum. So your answer here was not appropriate. The OP asked how to end her legal responsibility to the property. You did not answer that question.
