My daughter turned 17 a couple of weeks ago, and she will be a sophomore in college next year. It has been difficult for her living 200 miles away from me because she cannot legally sign for herself. She wants to live off-campus next year. She is on full scholarship for tuition, fees, books, and personal expenses. Is there a way to file this without having to pay an attorney $200 per hour? I don't have much money.

No she can't be emancipated with or without a lawyer. Inidana law doesn't allow it.

Sign what? I'm not following what she would need to sign that would make life so difficult? If you explain we may be able to offer alternatives.
