Does anyone here wish for something that they don't have?

I sometimes do. I have only had two partners and both of them have been nice guys but both of them also cheated on me. Sometimes I would really love to be in a relationship where I feel truly valued and loved and KNOW that my partner would not cheat. I do actually really want this. I would love to know what it is like to be with someone who loved me enough not to cheat.

Is it too late? I'm almost 39 and have a toddler. How do you know when you should leave? Am I asking for too much? I feel really jealous when I see people who are happy together. My partner says that he loves me and wants to be with me but it sure doesn't feel that way and there is still that whole cheating thing. I would really love someone to love me enough to not cheat.

You sound miserable in your relationship.

It is definitely not too late for you to end the relationship and find someone who truly loves you. There are some really great guys out there - Not every man is a cheat and a loser.

Move on and next time don't settle for less than your expectations. You deserve to be treated with respect, and be valued and loved.

Good luck!

I think you are still working through your feelings and its obvious you are still very hurt. When you see no way for it to change or get better you leave.

That's easy to say, but very difficult in real life. Give it some thought and tell your partner what you expect, and if he can't give it to you, or is unwilling, then you think of just leaving him. Its never to late to change your situation, but you have to be clear with yourself as to how.
