So I was told that I have a concussion I took a hit to the head where it snapped backwards and was unconscious and when I got to the hospital I was told I have a concussion. One of my big questions is can you be knocked unconscious without getting a concussion? I haven't had ANY symotoms and am questioning if I even had one. Also its been a week and I am wondering if it is safe to play?

What did the doctor say. What was the safe bet 2 weeks right?

He said 2 weeks he was a trainee by the way and said I had a minor concussion. And I followed up with my family doctor and he cleared me to play but said if I got another I was out for the season.

You got your answers in your other thread, best to air on the side of caution. I thought you already decided you will break for two weeks?

I did but new questions came up to whether I had a concussion or not at all. And I have a big tryout this weekend and also a passion for the game I've found myself trying to find anyway to play.

What is more important? Figure that out and make a final decision.

Risk losing out on a whole season. Risking injuring yourself even more permanently or worse. Or taking that extra time to make sure your really ready. Hope common sense prevails.
