Hi,

Recently I got L1-B visa and it is valid for 3 years. And my spouse got L2 visa with the same validity. Due to some reasons my US travel trip got postponed.

Now my wife's company is planning to process B1 visa for a short term trip to US.

What will happen to L2 visa if she gets/rejects B1 visa by consulate. Is L2 will be invalidated and will give new visa or what could be other probabilities?

Probabilities:
-------------
L2 will be retained and issues B1 visa
L2 will be cancelled and issues B1 visa
L2 will be retained and rejects B1 visa (incase if it rejects)
L2 will be cancelled and rejects B1 visa (incase if it rejects)

Can we use this L2 in future (may be after 6 months)?

Thanks

Thanks lawanwadee.

Yesterday when my went to US consulate in India for B1 visa, after the interview they looked into the previous L2 visa (4 months back she got this) and said sorry. You can apply later.

Is there any rule like if we posses L2, you will not get B1 visa?

What could be the reasons to reject B1 visa in this scenario?
