I am going to be hooking up a 240 volt baseboard heater. Does it need to be on its own dedicated circuit to the fuse box and on its own fuse or can I take the power from a switch or receptacle elsewhere near by

I am going to be hooking up a 240 volt baseboard heater. Does it need to be on its own dedicated circuit to the fuse box and on its own fuseNot by design or code, no.
There are some rules as to how many/much and what size circuit though.
....or can I take the power from a switch or recepticle elsewhere near byThis is most likely a very bad idea.
If you can find a 120v BB heater it will most likely overload an existing circuit.
