Hi kiran, I am surprised your doctor didn't recommend any procedures for your post op care of you rhip replacement. A lot has to be considered for safe recovery without damaging the work that has been done. Here is a website that explains in detail, everything you need to know and do regarding your post op care. After hip replacement, my clients are sent a walker to assist them during the healing process and taught how to operate and stand and walk properly behind it. It is not necessarily a fixture that you will have to use constantly, although a cane helps.

Follow your doctor's recommendations for exercise and rehab or else all his good work will be for nothing. It's all about regaining your range of motion in the hip area.
