My 830 lawn chief 8hp erlee 90s riding lawn more .Wont move when put into gear . How can I fix this proublem ?

Just a guess, but I would say that the engine was shut off wityh the pedal out and wedged the belts. Pu in neutral with speed selector in highest position. With engine running, release the pedal until pedal moves to the stop, deprerss and try to put in gear.
