View Full Version : Why Did the Chicken Cross the Road?

In this time of enhanced enlightenment, knowledge, sophistication, prophetic messages coming true, men becoming women and women becoming men, space exploration, computers making the world like some huge spider web...

But, the cows still get milked, the farmers still plant their seeds and the chickens still lay eggs, and we all still (I'll leave that one up to you!) :p

Still, age old questions and mysteries remain that are hard to solve!

One of the most mysterious and baffling of them is: Why did the chicken cross the road?

Why did your chicken cross the road, please?

It can be both a serious and fun subject as we go exploring the many possibilities and reasons!

Ben, I know! WORLD DOMINATION! :D

Only one reason per post, please?

Thanks! :)

The chicken crossed the road to get to the egg that came first. :)

No, that wasn't dirty. ;)

No, that wasn't dirty. ;)

Now, that was pretty clever, actually!

Maybe they were racing to see who would be first?

I mean don't we all wish that we had so much importance as to cause a dicussion that would go on for centuries? :)

Because it had pressed the button at the side of the pedestrian crossing and had waited and waited until the little green chicken light showed it was safe to cross,

Moral of the story: Safety First!

Because that is where she parked the Coupe De Ville, of course.

The chicken crossed the road to give us humans something to forever ponder over, to ask "why?"
It's a conspriracy if you ask me.
I think chickens are more clever than we give them credit for.

Catsmine agrees : You haven't spent a lot of time with them, have you?

No, quite frankly, they scare me!
They are a real sneaky pants type.
Watch out for them, they could be plotting to cross a road near you!

Why Did the Chicken Cross the Road?Hello Clough:

She was a Tyson chicken, you see, who escaped from the slaughter house. The chicken feds were hot on her tail, and her get away car was parked on the other side of the road.

Maybe that's a story that we should continue, exy? Sounds like it could get interesting! :)

By the way, do you all out there in Washington State have running water in your homes as well as telephones? I mean, after all you are way out there on the end of the known Earth! :D

Chickens at rest tend to stay at rest. Chickens in motion tend to cross the road.

Did you know that chickens are color blind?

I figured that I once saw a duck crossing sign, that there had to be a chicken crossing sign so I found one.

No. I didn't know that they are color blind.

The bad thing is that I have seen those signs in use. Last place we lived, there was a guy down the road who could not keep his chickens on his side of the road.

I think they crossed the road to see how many accidents they could cause.

They want to go to the dentist to know when they'll be getting teeth?

From the french expression "Quand les poules auront des dents" (or When chicken will have teeth)
