I just replaced the waterpump on a Whirlpool top load washer. Guessin' it's seven or eight years old. The pump's white plastic and it's the one with the rubber check valve on the outlet.
Turned it on it's left side (as looking at the front) to do the work. I know, I should have removed the cabinet, didn't know it at the time.
Everything went together pretty easily. Hooked it up and now when it spins, it thumps and bumps like it's out of balance. Wife says the tub's positioned different than before.
I re leveled it after the pump with a level. Wife checked the clothes and they weren't all on one side.
I just pulled it out again, thinkin' a spring mighta popped off, removed the cabinet. Springs're all hooked up.
Whatever it is, it probably has to do with me turning it on it's side.
Got any ideas?
