The inducer motor comes on when a heat cycle is started but wheel does not spin unless it is given a nudge then stopped spinning about 5 minutes after furnace ignited. It has a rubbing and humming sound so I was wondering if I could just remove it, clean up the wheel, lubricate it and reinstall it instead of replacing the whole thing. I have done other repairs on the furnace myself previously (flame sensor and ignitor) so I just wanted to ask if it was just the 3 hexnuts that I can see? If this does not work I will just order the part. I would like to do it myself for monetary reasons so what do you think?
