I am going to use a hotcomb and I already know I should blowdry my hair and then a moisturizing serium before I straighten. But I have a few more questions; how long will it remain that way, what should I put in it to keep it shiny and healthy, can I wash my hair after doing and if not won't my scalp smell not washing it, and finally how long will it remain straight?

I thought I should elaborate more.

I have used chemicals such as dark and lovely in te past and whlie they did a pretty good job, I did not like the harshness of the chemicals and the burning sensation while applying it.:(

I just need to know if after I do straighten it, can I still wash my hair?

If I can not wash it then will my scalp not start to smell, how should I say this, musky? :p

Should I still put moisturizer on everday even though I can't wash it off? Won't that make my hair too greasy?

How often should I straightwn it? I do not want to damage my hair too much.

Thanks to all that respond:D
