I reviewed another similar post but it wasn't what I needed. I have a few steel I-beams in cement and in the hillside where a former carport stood.

I want to remove them. Only 2 of them are in cement and I figure I could jackhammer them out. However 3 of them are in the hillside, fairly deep and rather than digging I figure its just as easy to cut the top off and bury the rest as I rebuild the hillside.

Its about 1/4 - 1/3 inch thick. What can I rent at a Home Depot or Lowe's that will do the job to cut through these?

Thanks!

Can't help with most effecient/modern method, torches seem to work.
I would see if you can utilize any of the I beam, Instead of cutting off and burying, you might cut them a t a certain Level to support deck, Anything. It likely took a little money to put them their solid.

I agree with Stratmando. Use a torch.

Dig down 6 to 8 inches and cut below ground level. After cut fill hole.

Good luck
