Ive known this girl for a long time. Were good friends, I'm with her almost every day. She's very smart, beautiful, funny, and talented. I really like her, she's almost all I think about. I've felt this way for a long time about her and I don't know if I should tell her or not. If I do tell her, what If she doesn't like me back? Could that ruin our whole friendship? I need some advice, should I tell her how I feel, or keep it inside?

Tell her how you feel-but make sure that it's clear that feelings are not obligated to be reciprocated. That you don't expect your friendship to be involved. I've been best friends with a guy for 9 years. When we first met he had a crush on me. Well, he told me, I wasn't interested and we agreed to pretend it never happened and move on. We have, and we're great friends. It could work out for you, it might not. But you'll never know unless you try.

There's always the possibility that the friendship can get awkward. Here are the possibilities:

You can take a risk and see how it goes. Rejection is painful. Losing a friend is painful too, but you can always recover. You can always make new friends.

If you don't tell her, you will always wonder: "what if". What if you guys can make each other happy?

Unfortunately, you cannot control the outcome. There are so many different possibilities and I wish that I could tell the future too. But the real question is, is it worth it to find out?

This is a tough one.

There is a definite risk to your friendship when expressing your feelings, especially if she doesn't have feelings for you.

But there is also the possibility that she has feelings for you too and you may be able to form a good romantic relationship.

The question is, Are you prepared for the possibility of losing her as a friend?
