Could you please suggest a reliable site to download a free illustrating program/software?

Thanks in advance.

You may be interested in picasa or sketchup from Google.

Google Pack (http://pack.google.com/intl/en/pack_installer.html)

General Downloads for Picture Editing:

Picture downloads - Free software downloads and software reviews - CNET Download.com (http://download.cnet.com/1770-2192_4-0.html?query=Picture&searchtype=downloads&filter=os=25|licenseName=Free|platform=Windows&filterName=os=Windows%20XP|licenseName=Free|platfo rm=Windows&tag=ltcol)

I've also worked with cornice and paint...

Alsee was another favorite.

Thanks for the links, but the Google pack does not seem to have what I am inquiring about.

It isn't a picture/photo editor I want.
Something simple which I can use to draw and colour illustrations.
I am trying out a new tablet with pen and would like something simple to get used to drawing with the pen and practice fine line drawings.

Thank you again for your help.

I downloaded MyPaint, it was beautiful brushes, love them all.

Only tiny thing, I don't know how to save files in any format except MyPaint, and they do not open in any of the other picture formats.Any idea how to do that?

I tried saving as jpeg format, but it did not save. Will try some more and let you know.

File > Save As (Window Pops up)

There's an option, or details button or something similar.

When you click it, it makes the window significantly larger.

At the bottom of that you will find a file format list. There you can select jpg, jpeg. (90% quality). Type in file name and select Save

May be a bug or just a fluke. Try it again after a reboot, if not try to uninstall it then reinstall it.

This is reply to your post in 2007, I looked at it as I was browsing web and answered because I know this.
Muhammad (pbuh) in Bible -> Book of Isiah 29:12 And the book is delivered to him that is not learned, saying, Read this, I pray thee: and he saith, I am not learned.
