Hi there,

I bought new dryer, whirpool AWZ 7813, condensed dryer, because I have small laundry room, so I put the drye above the washing machine... anyways... this dryer takes long time to dry... I don't know why... every time I make drying I empty the water from it and clean the filter... but I don't know why it keeos taking long time... I mean if I want to dry little cloth for about 20 mnts, it doesn't dry... I once put a cloth in one of the selection which takes THREE hours... so that it get dry... I don't know what shall I do... advice...
Thanks rima:(:(

If it's a new dryer then it should be under warranty right? In that case, I would call the store and have them look at it or take it back.

If there is no warranty then we need more information to troubleshoot the problem. First, when you run the drier does it generate warm air? Or only cold air. If the air is not warm then it might be the heating element.

If the air is warm then my next guess would be that the vent is blocked. Typically the partially blocked vent begins to get damp as warm air condenses around it as it cools. The more water accumulates, the more the vent gets blocked. A blocked vent is very dangerous (fire hazard).

What do you mean when you say you "empty the water from it?"

Hi john,

Thanks for the reply, for this dryer there is atank in the bottom where I have to empty every time after the drying cycle finish, because this type of dryer doesn't have a hose, the water freom dryoes in to a tank, that's how it dries.

As I mention the code number of whirpool dryer is AWZ 7813

I called the maintenance and they will come to check but I am afraid that they will tell me that it really takes time to dry like three hourse... ahhhhh

Well see
