I need to buy 6 ceiling fans for a new home and I would like to know out there, people's/expert's opinions on the quality of Hunter versus Harbor Breeze ceiling fans. I went to Lowe's and the guy was raving about Harbor Breeze ceiling fans only to find out that that is Lowe's "signature brand" so he was biased. I have Hunter in my huse now and have had no problems but Harbor Breeze is much cheaper but I don't want to find out that you get what you pay for. Give me some feedback, I would sure appreciate it.:)

I have a hunter in my house, its excellent on all the main points it should be, quiet and effective.

I've had cheaper brands before, and to me they didn't do there job. They would wobble, and would be very loud, even on the lowest setting, and didn't do much to cool the room off.

My advice, not knowing nothing about Harbor Breeze, is go with the brand you know and trust. The only way to know if you'd like Harbor Breeze is if you buy it, and install it... if you don't like it, you stuck uninstalling it and returning it, not the easiest way to find out.

Personally I think Hunters are the best new fans under $200. If you want to spend $200 or more you can still get American made fans.

The Harbor Breeze, some models are very good and some are junk. You have to be careful. It's not always the most expensive ones that are better either. However the Harbor Breeze under $50 are not worth ANYTHING.
