View Full Version : How do I convince my parents to let me wear only MASCARA?

Well, my parents are the kind that don't want their 'little girl' to grow up! I only want to wear mascara! I just feel so insecure. My dad is more protective; my mom has bought me clear but that does absolutely nothing!
PLEASE- suggestions to win them over?

How old are you?

I am finding hard to suggest anything to help 'win them over' after reading your thread about your 'boyfriend' that they don't know about. I think they may be right and you need to slow down a little bit.

Make-up will not change how you feel on the inside. If you feel insecure without mascara, you will still feel insecure with it.

Abide by their decisions without making a fuss and your actions will help convince them.

Thank you for that.
I never thought of that. It's just I walk around feeling unattractive, and I can't concentrate. It irritates me when I can't concentrate, and then it affects my schoolwork.

Mascara isn't going to help you concentrate. It can even be distracting, as it can make your eyelashes actually visible when you blink or look down.

Why not try for lipgloss?

You haven't answered the question about your age. How old are you?

If you can't wear mascara then consider trying to use an eyelash curler.

Katt1997 agrees : I don't feel comfortable giving out my age. I hope you understand

Why not an age range, then?

Under 10? 10-13? 13-16? 16-18? Over 18?

Okay, I'm between 13-16.

OK, then I can see why your parents wouldn't want you wearing mascara. Why not start by trying to get them to allow you to wear eye shadow, and maybe even eye liner?
