My natural hair color was dark brown, I bleached my hair last night trying to get the light brown color, but instead it came out looking orange! (and I hate it) What can I do in order to get it light brown?

My sister is a hairdresser, and what she normally does to get a hair to a darker colour is: bleach it lighter first, and then darker, so that instead of having an orangey brown (which would look a bit unnatural), you would have a lighter brown with a slightly blonde tinge, giving it a "sun-kissed" look. So first off, you have to get it to blonde. Then dye it to a light brown, if that's the colour you want.
