My wife was sponsored by a school in atlanta, after a few years, we got our green card, after we travel to chile and it was a little more than a year, I understand by a friend that we can still have our green card to go back if some relative was hill, or my wife still have her job in the school.(we also have our dougther ho born in Atlanta).
Where we have to tramit all these? at the us ambassy nor with the inmigration officer at the airport?

It is a totality of the circumstances. Do you maintain significant ties to the US? The officer at the POE looks at many factors: filing and paying US taxes (as an PR), US bank accounts and credit cards; employment in the US; housing, vehicles, insurance, memberships, other family members. On the foreign side, they look at the same and the reason for your extended stay outside the US.

Did you file for a re-entry permit? If not, you should consult with an experienced immigration attorney to assess your case for entry or to see if you should file for the SB-1 at AMCON.

Good luck.
