My father died in 1986 without a will. I and a widowed sister in law and her 3 sons are currently living in a house that is still in my fathers name. There is no mortgage but we have been paying on back real estate taxes for the past 10 years and want to change the deed to our names so that we can get a home equity loan to take advantage of an amnesty program with the city of Phila. PA to pay off the balance of taxes owed along with any other feees and inheritance taxes still owed. I also have 3 other living siblings not living in the property. Can anyone tell me what I have to do.
