I have the smallest red bug around my bathtub. They seem to get together in a corner. No matter what I do to get rid of them they come back. They can be smooshed very easy and leave a blood streak behind? What are these?

Uh oh... sounds like bed bugs, or "chiggers." Bed bug infestation is terrible- these things don't go away without a lot of cleaning and/or disposal of infested material(s). And they bite. Do you or anyone in the household have small sores? Check your mattresses, corners, clothing hanmpers, etc. Chiggers are tiny spider-like mites that used to bite on me growing up in the south. A nuisance, either way.

I think William missed the part about them being in the bath room. It sounds more like clover mites coming in from outside. Below there's a link to some photos to help I.D. them. If it is clover mites, go outside and rake the mulch away from the house and spray a good lawn & garden pesticide about two feet up the foundation wall and about 3 feet out from the wall(at a minimum) all around the house.
