Car was running fine until one cold morning. Started car as usual. Car ran for about 10 seconds, then died. Car will not start. Checked secondary ignition. Found that there is spark. Also no DTC's stored. Fuel pressure is present while cranking, but not sure what pressure is. (no fuel pressure gauge available) I'm suspecting a bad ignition switch, but not sure on how to test ignition switch. Further more what are common symptoms of bad ignition switch?

See if this helps:

In order to help people, I've submitted a request to have this be made a new "Sticky." I hope it helps.
I don't think it's your ignition switch at all. I'd focus on igniter and possibly fuel filter. Be sure and answer the 3 basic diagnostic questions.

Well to make a long story short. I found that secondary ignition was shorting to cylinder head due to all four spark plugs being cracked. Did not notice small carbon tracks on porcelin. Car fired right up. But now idle is hunting, but only after car had warmed up. Will need to check IAC unless you think otherwise.
Thanks for the input

Follow the new "Sticky" on setting the idle rpm, if you can. I still think you could have a bad igniter, which will make it difficult for the idle to remain steady. Autozone and O'Reilly Auto will test igniters and coils for free.
