Can you rent more than one apartment under a Tax Id? Does renting an apartment using a Tax Id impact how taxes are filed?

By "Tax ID" do you mean ITIN (Individual Taxpayer Identification Number)? There is nothing that limits how many apartments you can rent for personal use. It does not affect how taxes are filed, although in some states you may qualify for a deduction on your state income tax for renting your primary residence.

Hello K:

Couple things. The IRS doesn't care how many apartments you rent. Your landlord doesn't care about your tax ID Number. Therefore, renting an apartment, or several, wouldn't effect how you file your taxes.

If you are in the US, first in many cases there is no requirement to give a tax ID or social security number unless they are using that to run a credit check to see if you can afford the apartment.

You may rent a dozen apartments, there are no rules that limit how many you rent, unless of course you are getting government assistance to pay for them.
