I have a female doberman who is 1 yr old but she is a lot smaller than other dobermans I have seen that are the same age. She is not a miniature. I only saw her mom. The person I bought her from assured us that both her parents were pure dobermans. Is there other reasons she might still be so small. Is she still growing.

At a year the dogs size is what its going to be. From a year to year and a half - two, she will be building muscle.
Your dog could be small just because she is a small dog. Some pups in the litter will grow to be huge, others will stay moderate... Some will stay small. Its just who you're dog is.
Nothing wrong with a smaller sized dog!

She may be the correct height for a Doberman by breed standards.
Have her stand as straight as possible. Measure her from the base of her neck (withers) to the ground. If she measures between 24 and 26 inches, then she is the correct height for a female by the AKC (American Kennel Club) standard. Males run about 2 inches taller.
When the breed was first recognized the height was approximately 22 to 24 inches for females. Some people still breed for the smaller animal and the smaller animals do occur.
