Hello everyone! :)
So I'm taking a Western Civilization internet class which is basically about European history and I need ideas for a movie to watch and analyze for a paper.
The movie has to be about an actual event/topic in European history that is relevant and at least somewhat comparable to what we learned in class.
Some things we covered were European colonization in the new world, the scientific revolution, the age of enlightenment, the French Revolution and Naploean, World War I & the beginnging of World War II, and the Cold war.
I really wanted to watch something about WWII, but we only learned about the "brink" of the war and not the actual events that happened. :'( I've been searching online for some movies, but I'm really stuck in finding one that is about actual events so if anyone has some ideas I'd be happy to hear about some of them!
Thanks! Xoxo

Hi cats! Does this movie have anything about battles? I'm looking for something about actual events or even a series of events. I read about the movie in the link though and it sounds interesting. I love old movies and black and white movies!

In that class when I was in school we watched "Luther" or it might have been another title but it was about Martin Luther how he started Lutherism. And how the Pope at the time was selling indulgences. It turned out good because that was the main thing I remembered in that class.

Oooh I love a Tale of Two Cities!
I watched "Saving Private Ryan" and I think I'm going to use it for my analysis. I'll be sure to watch the ones you all recommended too!
Thanks!
