Hi, All!
What is the entire bar at the bottom of a browser called, please?
I'm not asking about the Windows taskbar.
Thanks!

Hi, Ben!
I thought that the status bar was just the little area on the same, big bar that showed the status of how a website was going to be displayed or not.
You know, the thing that has some movement to it.
Thanks!

Try going into Views (at the top) and unchecking Status bar and I bet you the WHOLE thing disappears ;)

Hmmm...
I don't want to get into trouble and not be able to get it back. Is there a possibility of not being able to get it back?
You know that I'm currently using Netscape on a very old platform.

What are you like Clough.
Just check it again when you want it back ;)
Trust me I'm a Doctor, or not.

Gak! It is gone!
Okay, so what do you call the bottom bar of the browser that remains?

That would be the bottom of the browser.
As it doesn't display anything it's simply framing the window.
Would look a bit silly without.

The bottom of the browser? Sounds kind of special! :)
Okay, am now going to bring back the status bar...

Okay, so the status bar has now returned.
Any reason to use a tab bar? The option is there.

May be called the Quick Launch bar, right clicking on it allows you to enable and disable it.
