Hi,I am 10 and today I was walking in school and I did not have to go to the rest room... and then I wet my pants right in the middle of the hallway! Ugh it was soooooooo embarrasing(and so is my spelling... ) and everyone saw it!I had to go home from school it was so bad! Anyone know why this could have happened? I don't have anything and trust me I never had to go to the restroom.and I am a girl not that that has anything to do with it...

Actually being a girl could have a lot to do with it. Maybe you need to talk to your mom about it. You could have an infection going on that could caus it. Also sometimes irritation can cause it to happen. Either way it would be best to speak to her about it and get her thoughts.

A urinary tract infection (uti) wouldn't be picked unless they run tests looking for it.

When was the last time you went to the doctor? A few weeks ago? A few months ago?

Unless you just went yesterday, there would be no way to know for sure if you haven't developed a uti since then. It only takes a couple days for a uti to develop. Girls are more likely to get them than boys, especially if you regularly take bathes and not showers. Swimming, not wearing clean underwear, not washing properly, and several other things can also cause a uti.

Uti's usually clear up on their own if you wash properly. Sometimes they need antibiotics.

It could also be something else. Or nothing. The only way to know for SURE is to go to a doctor. The school nurse doesn't count, either. She doesn't have the ability to run tests, and nurses don't know as much as doctors.

There's been worse. When I was in 4th grade, one of my friends [i'm a girl] ate something obviously upsetting, & pooped her pants & smelled up the whole classroom. I'm in 7nth grade now, & trust me, nobody remembers... lol

You'll be fine & if you think that tomorrow will never come & the world is going 2 end, it's already the next day on the other side of the planet.

not my real name100 disagrees : i just went to the DOCTOR YESTERDAY and they ran tests for uti and they came up negitive th6ey tested for just about EVERYTHING!

First off, you do NOT disagree with someone's post unless the FACTS are wrong or it may be dangerous to follow their advice. Disagreeing is NOT for when you just don't agree with their opinion. Disagreeing, or giving a reddie, can have negative side-effects on here. Members with too many reddies can actually get in trouble.

Second, you never said you just went to the doctor. We ALWAYS try to be overly careful on here and suggest a visit to the doctor before anything else. We can't see you or run tests or anything, so we can't tell you what's wrong. Trying to tell that we absolutely know is wrong may actually be dangerous for you.

There are people who try to treat serious medical conditions themselves. They get sicker and sicker, because they read somewhere on the internet that what they're doing would work. Even if they're right about what's wrong, it can be dangerous to not see a doctor to get it treated.

There are also people who believe the first diagnosis they read and never bother to go to a doctor or get treatment. The diagnosis is wrong, and it's something more serious that's wrong. They make themselves sicker by never seeing a doctor.

We just want to make sure we don't give advice that could maybe hurt you, so we tell you to go to a doctor.
