I recently ordered a Samsung SMX F34 camcorder (my first camcorder). I checked out YouTube videos made with it & people say that it has mp4 format. Many also say that the software that comes with it lowers the quality. I am new to video technology & Im on a budget. So what would be a low cost, fairly easy to use program that would still make the videos come out well? This will be used for a lot of family videos so they will be important. Thanks for your time =)

I would recommend AVS Video Editor which can be downloaded from Free Movie Makers Downloads (http://www.wareprise.com/2006/07/29/free-movie-maker-downloads/)

Just note that while AVS Video Editor is a free download and fully functioning software, the output of the video will have a watermark on it unless a license is purchased.

Still, it shouldn't stop you from trying out the video editor. You'll find it easy to use with very little learning curve required.

There is always windows movie maker...

I personally like Pinnacle Studios.

But here are some free options:

Avid DV is probably the next best thing to Pinnacle (considering they were developed by the same company) but they no longer offer it. If you search around you may be able to find an older version that is sufficient.

Also these are great:

Wax - [ Homepage ] (http://www.debugmode.com/wax/)

And
