My girlfriend had put in her straightener into our wall outlet, the wall outlet was partially coming out before we even moved into the new place, but the straightener plug got stuck in the outlet, we called an electrician, they said they can't help, but is it OK to leave the power on in my bathroom, with it still plugged in, but not turned on until we get help? Or is this a fire hazard? Please help, thanks

It's hard to make that assessment. If your renting, the landlord needs to deal with the issue. That would be why an electricain would not be able to help.
With the POWER to the outlet off, it's possibe that a big tug/wiggle will get the plug removed.
It probably fused because of a poor contact due to corrosion etc.
Backstabbed contacts (a method of wiring outlets) when this happens can degrade anything on the same circuit. Screw terminals are safer.
It's best to kill power if at all possible.
Sorry, I can't offer any better advice. The outlet needs to be replaced.
If you want to try to save the straigtener/plug. Remove the outlet attached to the starightner. Replace the outlet. Tear the broken outlet apart and lightly sand the plug if possible.
