I have a 2000 cub cadet 2166 with a kohler 16 hp engine - it starts, idles fine, but when I throttle up past 1/2 throttle it chokes out and dies. Any ideas?

Make sure your air filter is clean.
Does this have the choke and throttle working off the same lever.

Have a new air filter, spark plug and have changed the oil & filter and the transmission fluid and filter also.
The throttle and choke are separate cables. I have been through the carburetor and checked the solenoid under the fuel bowl. I have checked the gap between the flywheel and the ignition module. Am leaning toword the Digital Speed Advanced Module and/or S.A.M. Wire Harness. I am stumped - the one thing I haven't changed out or checked is the fuel filter, I'm getting fuel, but am not sure how much feul flow is required for full throttle.
