Hey, my drinking occasionaly never bothered my girlfriend. And after she was pregnant it was a problem all of a sudden. Then she let me drink twice no problem and again she's fighting with me that I promised I wouldn't (even though she let me) and I still want to. I think I have the right to have a few with my friends. I'm not a violent drunk or mean or anything and I don't get drunk. I don't know why she doesn't want me drinking. All she says is "because i dont want you to.." is it because she can't drink and she's not saying that? Should I let her know I can do it and she isn't my mother? Or should I do it when she isn't around? Or just not do while she is pregnant? Please let me know because everyone I talk to says she's being ridiculous and I have the right to drink if I want to just because she cant.

Well I feel this way, yes you are an adult but you also have to respect her wishes too, see if you can meet in the middle on this ask her if it is OK just to drink a couple times a week with the buds, and not around her at all, it does sound to me she is a little jealous that she can't drink too, I felt the same way but I let my husband drink I just had to deal and she does too.

Well ? Are you going out with the boys without her ? Or is this a social setting with everyone there.
How many are a "few" if the answer is more than two, then yes most likely you are under the effects some.
Part of being a parent ( and that is what you will soon be) is responsible behavior, and making some choices for the future.
Having a couple drinks with friends in the right social setting is not a issue or should not be unless your religioius faith is against it. Going out to bars with the guys without your girlfriend, can be

We would drink maybe just in the backyard or at a get together at someone's house. Religion isn't an issue. And she is always more than welcome to hangout with us when we do of course she can't drink though.
For instance. My best friend who I haven't gotten to see in a long time because we work so much wanted to come over tomorrow and enjoy a 6 pack. So 3 each. And my girlfriend didn't say anything until after he left my house after stopping by to catch up a little. Its not like we are going to kill a 30 pack and go out driving around or keep drinking. Just a mellow time
I would totally understand her if I was a mean drunk or got drunk at all and did it frequently. But I don't, like I said at most 3 times a month
