I have been staying with a friend and he has been having problems with his landlord.. He got a evection notice, went to court and the judge said that if he paid the money owed (which he had but they would not take it) and the court cost, he would be able to stay. He did all of that and paid it on the 30th as stated. This morning there was a notice that a sheriff would be here tomorrow morning for his removal. He did pay them everything but he did not get a receipt because he pays his grandmother, who owns the property but other family members run it. Who he has been having the problems with. Can he do anything? He has been wanting to move because of the disagreements but wanted the month to get things in order.

*facepalm*

Probably not. He had his day in court, got a reprieve, and then blew it again.

File something with the court, but the problem is that there is probably not enough time to have the judge look at this SNAFU again.
