I live in a clean and sober house, I drank four beers on Friday and about a half of one on Saturday. When I got home on Sunday I got a UA, I want to know how accurat the send in ua's are for the alcohol and if that is enough to register in my urine.

Depends on their test - if it tests for EtG it can detect alcohol consumption within the past 3-4 days or 80ish hours (the test does not test for presence of actual alcohol in your urine but it tests for the form of alcohol after your body has metabolized it, which is what EtG is). However, if they're just testing if ethanol is in your urine then it's out of your system within hours (how long it takes is all dependent on your BAC).

Thank you that is helpful, the test that was sent in had a Eth on it and so I am wondering if it was just a ethanol and not the other that you speak of the EtG. I know what most of the others are, opiates, meth, thc, etc. And was assuming the Eth was Ethanol, alcohol. Do you think that would be the later test that you mentioned and not the more detectable EtG?

I would imagine so - unless it was marked somewhere on the container and you didn't see it. Or, unless they do the EtG at the lab place and it's not marked no the container. Hope that it is just the Ethanol test and not the EtG. But, honestly I doubt they're testing for the EtG since it said "Eth".

I really hope so and I have certainly learned my lesson. I feel completely guilty and shameful, it was one moment of weakness, and I was in a place I should not have been. A time when I should have remembered what I was working so hard for. If things work out and it does not show up, I will never forget the gifts my H.P. has given me and to never take them for granted again.

I hope everything worked out for you.. I drank on Saturday night, stopped around 11:30 -12:00. I am going to be having a urine test sometime either on Tuesday or wed. I hope I don't have the EtG test that you guys mentioned.. I might loose my kids... the party sure wasn't worth this risk... ahhh

Life is full of hard lessons and times. Don't beat yourself up just keep on keeping on the right path that is set before you. Did you come out OK in your situation?

I know it says all over the internet that ETG testing detects for up to 80 hours. Don't listen to that crap! I just failed a parole U/A & hadn't had a drink for over 105 hours. I just want to let other people know so they don't screw up like I did.
