Birthday party tickets? How so?

Are you throwing yourself a party and selling tickets?

Are you renting a hall for this? What are the guests getting for the price of a ticket?

I can't think of any laws or restrictions, as long as this is a private party and not one for the public.

Going to need a bit more info.

Well... im inviting a DJ at the venue. And am tyring to see if the bar owner wants to collaborate with me about making tickets to the public also (for the DJs ), so it benfits both party. $7 for each. DJ will cost me $300 for 1-hour show so I'd like to sell 50 at least.

Does the bar owner have insurance for an event like this? That would be my first question, one that you'll have to ask the bar owner.

I'm not a legal expert, so this is just my opinion.

I'm sure that the legal eagles will comment on your thread, just give them some time to see it. Check back often.

I wish you luck and a fun party, I'm in Edmonton, just a three hour drive away. Hint, hint. ;)

I'm sure the bar owner has the insurance. They always sell tickets for an live-music event.
I'm hoping they can help me. Thanks for the info anyway!
I used to go to edmonton all the time. Maybe you can come to my birthday party too?? ( if it was the hint for... lol):D

Since it appears there will be drinking, you want the bar to sell or actually host the event and perhaps pay you a percent of the tickets sold
