Hello.

I need help.

For the past few months I've been drinking and smoking ciggs increasingly... more and more. Within the past 3 weeks it has gotten reagular. Drinkinging every night. Drunk a lot. Smoking about 2 ciggs a day and more when heavy drinking.
Last night, I went out for drinks and got drunk. I woke up drunk this morning and went to work. The buzz decreased, but all day I am left with these weird symtpoms: sore throat, agitated, face pace heart, nervous, sleepy, nauesea. The symptoms ease up sometimes, but my heart feels like t. I don't know how to get through this. Could it be from withdrawl of alcohol? I can't tell my parents, so I am kind of alone and stuck. I don't want to leave my room. I need help! Will I be okay? How long will this last? I am not dirnking or smoking today. I never want to feel like this again. Is it common to have flem and sore throat? I'm freaking out.

Thanks for any help! I need to calm down somehow!

Justme.

You are hungover. Plain and simple. It will go away, but it may take all day.

But it will happen every time you drink (and smoke). Some fun, heh? As you age, you will develop a chronic cough and more phlegm, especially in the morning when you get up. You will tremble and not be able to control it. Girls will not want to kiss you or be with you because you will stink. Want to hear more?

Just relax, take a shower, gargle with mouthwash/teeth brushed.. simple things.

Most of all,REMEMBER HOW THIS FEELS!

If your friends want you out drinking again, think about this time before you decide to take on another hangover.

I agree with everyone here. These are the consequences to overindulging. There's a huge difference between a glass of wine with dinner (which most docs will say is good for you) and pounding back liquor or beer all night.

Alcohol irritates mucous membranes throughout your GI tract, including your throat & oral cavity. As J_9 noted above you are experiencing short-term mild withdrawal (hangover). In the short-term the majority of symptoms mentioned will diminish as you become rehydrated. However, consumption of excessive amounts of alcohol across an extended period (more than 2-3 days) has stressed many systems within your body (working to get rid of the alcohol), and lowered your resistance to infection. Prolonged intoxication, such as you indicated, may very well take 4-10 days to return to normal but you should feel better each day. Age is on your side. Hope you're feeling better already.

thanks for any help! I need to calm down somehow!Hello just:

It sounds like alcohol poisoning. If you want to feel better, try quitting for a while.

Just do it. I know it sounds unhelpful, but you just have to make up your mind. Let's say you overheard your enemy laughing at you about it, betting against you quiting, would you not just stop immediately?
