I just received a home inspection on my house and we have the cord for our range that runs underneath our sink on the very back wall. I was told I need a Wire shield for this wire. It is a gray wire.
Any idea what a wire shield is and where I can find it?

A "wire shield" is something the home inspector made up.
Ask him to be more specific.
WHY is the range cord going under the sink anyway?

Don't you just love when they talk technical?
wire shield
A cord can through cabinet wall with no other protection.
A cord cannot pass through or into a structural wall.
This is what your "home inspector" is probably referring to.
Any violation a home inspector cites, ask for the exact specific Code section that something is not in compliance with.
This will prevent opinions from getting in the way.
