Okay my husband has done something where you can't veiw the history every time you click out of the internet and open it back up it is no longer there, so my question is how do it reverse what he has done so that I can veiw it again

Really depends on how this has been done.
Sounds like simply deleting browsing history on closure of the browser.

In all honesty if it has been deleted then you are NOT going to get it back.
You clearly need to TALK to him as you obviously have a trust issue.

I agree with the above post, except that there are programs out there you can get which recover lost data. However, there is a good chance that the data has already been overwritten a few times since history is something that can often times be stored in an area of the hard drive that is accessed frequently.

You definitely need to talk to your husband if you don't trust him. There are plenty of reasons to be clearing the history on exit. I do this just because in my web browser (Google Chrome), I like to only see my bookmarks and Google searches when I begin typing something into the address bar.

I am not trying to recover the lost history just trying to keep the history from disappearing after I shut the computer down

Depends on the browser. For example, in IE, you can reset it to default settings by:

I understand you're not trying to recover the history. However, if all else fails, your internet history, if accidentally deleted may be recoverable/recovered as it is stored in index.dat files:

Hope this helps.
