See... how about a rectangle's perimeter is 32 inches, how can you get the answer of area??
Even if you just give me the formula...

How can you get the area using perimeter??

Well, you cannot really give the area like this.

Let's say that the length is 'l in' and the width is 'w in'.

The perimeter is given by 2(l+w) = 32.

The area is given by lw.

Since there is no more information, there is no exact area.

You may have a length of 1 in, and width of 15, giving a perimeter of 32, and an area of 15.

You can also have a length of 2 in, and width of 14, giving a perimeter of 32, and an area of 28.

For a maximum area, you'll see that the length should equal the width, but then, you'll have a square, with length 8 and width 8 with area 64 in^2.
