Anyone know where I can get one of these? Seems like only the electric ones are short.

Thanks in advance

I can look in my spec books at work. Get back to you later. There are "short" models available. I assume you are looking for a atmospheric vent since you did not mention power vent or direct vent.

I found a Lowboy gas jobby at: Lowboy Water Heater, 40 Gal 6 Year # 6G40S-36PF1 by Rheem / Richmond Mfg (http://plumbing.hardwarestore.com/51-598-water-heaters-gas/lowboy-water-heater-624023.aspx)
Could you handle one 49 1/2" tall?
Regards, Tom

Bradford White makes a 30 gallon model that is really close to what you are looking for. Forgot the model number at work but I think it is about the same as the Rheem listed above to the top of the vent connection.

Agree with previous post: Bradford White has low boys in natural gas. If I am not mistaken, they are 30 and 40 gallons.

Thanks for the answers.we have 48 gallons Bradford White 46 Inces high. The problem is Its crowl place and water table is high to enter basement, so bottom of hot water heater get rusted very soon. . We wish we can get little over 40 inches tall 40 to 50 gallons water heater so we can put sinderblaocks or bricks under hot water heater so water can pass from underneath of heater and do not rust so fast.

My thoughts would be to move the heater or install a french drain in the crawl space to divert the water. Good luck, Tom
