My craftsman 3.5 HP edger (mod # 53677210) will start only after I prime it 15 or more times and then dies after it burns that gas, which takes all of 2 or 3 seconds. Checked the float bowl and it is clean. Put new gas in it, and because it started, I assume that the spark plug and wiring are all right. What should I do next?

Check the bolt that holds the bowl to the carb , some of these have holes in them that's how the carb gets fuel.run a piece of wire up through the main jet.What engine is on this?
