Why not just ask him?

If he's not around anymore, you will have trouble locating it. Look for statements, atm cards, checks, etc. Otherwise, hire an investigator, but remember, banking is confidential. If you have a death certificate, you may be able to have a bank employee check it. If he is living, good luck.
