Either the clutch locator (key # 23 in the image in the Owner's Manual) on this mower was mounted improperly or the manual instructions are incomplete.

On this mower, the flange of the locator was mounted on the INSIDE of the mower frame. (This seems to be correct, but I'm not sure.)

I precisely followed the instructions provided in the manual. I removed the bolts, which attach the clutch locator to the mower frame. However, the positioning of the locator does not allow for the locator to be removed. (Everything's spaced too tightly.)

There's not enough space to move the locator upward in order to allow the post to slip out of the notch on the clutch assembly. Neither is there enough room to rotate the clutch assembly to allow removal of the locator.

So, what am I doing wrong?

Hi,
I guess no one answered because you typoed the model number. Trying to replace the motion drive belt? The locator seems to mount against the inside of the frame. It should slide forward as the clutch rotates and move out of the way. That is what I got from the manual.
Peace,
Clarke
