Hello,
I just bought a Huinter fan and need a bit of help.
The location I want to install it is a light fixture on two three-way switches wired as follows:
From panel to first switch
From switch to fan
From fan to 2nd switch
Since it is wired for three-way switches, I have blk/red/wht to use
My hope is to use the first switch to control the fan and the second switch to control the lights. Is this possible and how do I need to re-wire it??
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance.

To switch separately, you will have to have both switches in the same box(either box).
It can be wired as you mention, fan in 1 and light in the other.
If the box has a single gang mudring, you can carefully remove, then install 2 gang mudring for 2 devices, they even make a Light/Fan control that fits in a single device location.
Which do you want to do?
If it is what you originally asked, then use the red from the first switch to control the light OR the fan, then connect the black to a constant hot, which will connect to the other blach to second switch, will pass through fan box, but not connect to the Light or the fan.
The second switch will have the black that you made a constant hot and will connect to a switch with the red to go back up to the Fan OR Light. White will be capped in second box.

Thanks, that is what I was thinking. I just drew it out on paper and think I have the same plan that you mentioned:
1st switch (fan control)
Blk & what from panel-connect white to what, blk to red w/pigtail, pig tail to switch and blk(to fan) to the switch
AT the fan (box):
What to white, black to black (fan power) and red to red (carry through hot to 2nd switch) and black from 2nd switch (light control ) to blue
2nd switch (light control) Red to switch, black to switch and cap the white.
Would thid be correct?? Seems like it should work to me but it is always good to ask.
Thanks again.

Sounds good.
If it works on paper, should work with the switches.
