If that's how he feels, then you need to accept his feelings. You can't force him to feel the same way as you.

Calling him will only make you suffer more because you're only going to hear more.

Do yourself a favor, leave each other alone so that you can focus on healing from the pains. I know it's easier said than done, but once you've healed, you will be in a better position to revisit your situation anyway.

Rejection is never easy, and wanting to reconnect with the person who has rejected you is so tempting, but the ending will not be happy, they will only reject you more, leaving you feeling worse.

I agree with 'i wish',give yourself plenty of time to heal and get out with your friends, stay busy, before long you will feel better.

What he's saying is "although I don't love you but I need you here just in case I can't find some one else". You deserve better, agree to be friend but disappear from his life until you healed.

Go no contact,and keep busy.

Even though its painful now,it will get better, day by day.

If you can accept his feelings for romance with you have changed, you can heal, and then see about this friendship stuff, after you have recovered from the emotional shock of the break up.

Leave him alone, as pestering someone to come back after they have dumped you will only annoy them, and make you suffer even more rejection.

Time to do your own thing, without him.
