Ok, we are in a situation. We have a leak somewhere in our home, the water ends up coming up from the baseboards along the bathroom, near the closet and puddles onto the middle of our bathroom floor ( which is tile) It seems to get worse when it rains. We hired a plumber who knocked down a part of the master bathrooms wall because it is connected to the main bathroom. He said our cast iron tub was leaking, but upon his leaving I noticed the insulation was soaked on the bathroom wall and it was dripping. Obviously, it cannot be the tub. My next step is to make sure and caulk the outside bathroom window as well as any cracks in the mortar and bricks. My husband did check the attic when we first noticed the leak and found no evidence of water or moisture. We pulled out our fridge thinking it could be the water line, and no leakage, however we did find the baseboards behind the fridge looked like there was water damage ( the baseboards behind the fridge are directly behind our bathroom closet) Does anyone have any idea about where this leaking is coming from? I know water travels so the leak might not be in the bathroom?? Any help would be appreciated? Also, my house is on a slab, could the weep holes have anything to do with it? Thanks!

Which leads me to believe that you may need a roofer and not a plumber. Please let us know what you find. Good luc k, Tom

It was wet starting from underneath the window and going down.. I noticed in the window sill there are cracks in the tile as well.. could this cause so much water? How would I seal these cracks, would bathroom caulk seal it and hold the water? Thanks so much!

I agree with Milo. Some pictures would help.

If u are getting water in when it rains, u will only seal it in the wall and cause more problems. Have to find out how water is getting in to correct the problem.

Remove wet insulation. This can give u a start for mould to grow.

Is window in shower area?
